A little about me
not your average photographer
My full name is Julia Suarez (but like I said you can call me Jules). When I am not the girl third wheeling with a camera I am taking care of littles in the PICU or lounging around in baggy t-shirts and gym shorts at my house. I am a mama to two wild boys named Rowan and Lincoln. My house is often chaos, and while I try to light candles, enjoy a nice cup of coffee, and listen to some sappy indie music it more often looks like an unfinished cup of coffee, begging my dog to stop barking, and trying to quite literally make sure my children don't accidentally hurt themselves. I have always felt called to serve people, and throughout my life I felt nursing was the best way to do that. However, after my 26 year old brother died in a motorcycle accident in 2020 I learned that time was irreplaceable and memories are priceless. I started cherishing the last picture we had as a family and learned how important it is to capture life through photography. I have learned the true value of time, and I am irrevocably in love with serving people by freezing a moment in time in the form of a beautiful photograph.
This is my approach
to capturing your moments
We will start off as friends, I am going to get to know you, your story, the things that make you happy and the things that make you sad. I want to get down to the gritty details so I can tell your story through pictures (this isn't about posing in front of a camera). At your session you will find me giddy as hell and complimenting you a million times over (yes you are beautiful). I may have found a location where we have to make a little bit of an excursion off the paved path to get to, so be ready for an adventure. Before we ever meet I will get to know you and your significant other family, so I can learn how to best capture you both in a way that truly fits you. I am not into posing for the camera at all, I know that I am really awkward when put in that situation, so I won't put you in it either. Rather, I will give you directions, tasks, and fun things to do with your partner so I can capture the most candid moments. I live for that golden sun glow, not just because it is beautiful to shoot in, but because it really makes me feel alive when the rays are warming my face. When I am editing your pictures I aim to enhance all the of emotion you have whether that be adoration or playfulness. I love warm and moody tones with that bright golden glow.
